Looking on the map, you will find Procida right in between Naples and Ischia. Smaller than Ischia in size, Procida has however a charm and character of its own that I highly recommend you go experience yourself.
Procida is easily accessible by ferry from Naples or from Ischia. Count around €27 per person for the round trip Ischia-Procida with the ferry company Caremar.

Once on the island, you will right away see the colorful buildings so emblematic of Procida. Traditionally, the fishermen of this island used to paint their houses of bright colors so that they could spot their house from the sea. I really find this tradition quite beautiful.
Your point of arrival on Procida island will most likely be the Porto Marina di Procida. To have a first feel of this island, have a small walk along Via Roma, the street where the harbour is located. This will already give you the opportunity to marvel at the colorful buildings that make up this island’s postcard-worthy panorama.

After the nice stroll along Via Roma, it is time to go uphill, all the way up to Terra Murata, the fortress located at the highest point of the island. On your way there, make sure to go visit the pretty yellow church Chiesa di San Leonardo and to stop at Belvedere Corricella. This viewpoint will give you the very best sight of Marina Corricella, the most stunning place in Procida.

Upon your arrival at Terra Murata, make sure to explore the grounds. Once having explored this fortress grounds, go visit Abbazia di San Michele Arcangelo for a more cultural moment. Then, make sure to check the view on Capri from Punta dei Monaci.

After a busy morning of discoveries, head down to the wonderful Via Marina di Corricella for lunch. You will find there many restaurants with terraces in the most idyllic place Procida has to offer. We ate at Ristorante Pizzeria Fuego – https://maps.app.goo.gl/d2yox4YzxrWvc2tr6 – where you can get a pizza for as little as €5.50. If you are craving a dessert after, you will also find on the same street an artisanal ice cream shop called Chiesa di Luna Gelateria Artisanale – https://maps.app.goo.gl/r99mDYbv4sUSHQfu9.

Once your batteries recharged, continue your route and walk to Spiaggia di Ciraccio to observe the impressive faraglioni, these huge stones sticking out from the water. Take some time there to relax on the beach. After, go check out the Vivara Bridge at the south-westernmost point of the island. This bridge connects Procida to the island of Vivara which you will be able to admire from it. The island itself is closed off to the public except for guided tours which must be booked in advance as it is a protected natural reserve. After this last stop, it is time to go back to the harbour to return to Ischia.
